Terms of Use

Agreement to terms

By using the website at thelegacyfirm.com (the “Site”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

No attorney-client relationship

Using this Site does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and The Legacy Law Firm or any of its attorneys. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when you sign an engagement letter with the firm. Information you send through the contact form or by email is not protected by attorney-client privilege until an engagement is established.

Information only — not legal advice

The content on this Site is for general information purposes. It is not legal advice. Every legal situation is different, and the information here may not apply to yours. Do not act or refrain from acting based on anything you read on this Site without first consulting a qualified attorney about your specific situation.

Client portal and online services

If you are a client of the firm, you may have access to our client portal (at crm.thelegacyfirm.com). Your use of the portal is governed by these terms plus the terms of your engagement letter. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

Third-party services

The firm uses third-party tools to provide its services, including QuickBooks Online (Intuit) for billing and payment processing. When you interact with these tools — for example, by paying an invoice — the third party's own terms and privacy policy apply in addition to ours. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

Intellectual property

The content on this Site — including text, images, logos, and page designs — is owned by The Legacy Law Firm and protected by copyright law. You may read, print, and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, or use the content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Limitation of liability

The Site and its content are provided “as is.” We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information. To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Legacy Law Firm is not liable for any damages that result from your use of — or inability to use — this Site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute related to these terms or your use of the Site will be resolved in the courts of Oakland County, Michigan.

Attorney advertising

This Site may be considered attorney advertising under Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct. Past results described on this Site do not guarantee future outcomes. The outcome of any case depends on many factors, including the facts and law specific to that case.
